Centre for Land Conservation
The Centre for Land Conservation (CLC) is a nonprofit organization that aims to conserve more land in Canada.
Case Study
Problem
The CLC's old website was difficult to manage and did not have the ability to serve all of its target audiences.
Goals
The CLC had several goals for the new website:
- Create an online hub to represent the CLC where Canadian land trusts can apply to participate in a special program run by the CLC
- Provide a place where land trusts can come find resources and documentation
- Site must be bilingual (English/French)
- Make it easier for CLC's staff to manage content on the website
- Achieve WCAG level AA website accessibility compliance
- Develop brand standards that can be used online and offline
Solution
ISC first designed brand standards and wrote a content strategy that would be used when creating the website. Meanwhile, we finalized functional requirements and aligned on Webflow as the preferred platform because it has awesome localization features, making content-heavy translations and revisions a breeze. Finally, everything came together as we built out the designs and finalized the content.
Outcome
We are looking forward to sharing the journey with the CLC as they continue to evolve their website and fortify their web presence.
